Old Time Theme Park

This past weekend was filled with family activities...on Friday just us girls (me, my two Daughters n the four Grand daughters went to "Knoebels" a theme park tucked away in the mountains in Central Pa.
here are a few photos of our fun time!
Oldest  Grand daughter Carley  n friend on the power surge....
The power surge...its a twisting upside down kind of ride. No way did                                            I  get  on that thing!!!
The old wooden roller coaster was a blast from the past for me...nope...didn't get on that one either.
The three oldest grands got on it though!!! I watched from my comfortable bench in the shade!
Next was the water flume....this time it was just two of the grands n two of their friends. Did I get on??? Nope...someone had to take pictures!!! They didn't get wet on this one...but later on they got on another water ride n got soaked...no pics of that one!!!!
Now on to the Haunted House...can you see how much fun they had.

This was our youngest Gran Holly's first time at a Theme Park n she was really getting into it!
She got on the Tea Cup ride with her Aunt Kelly....you 'can't tell...but.....this ride made Aunt Kelly queasy n it made Holly cry!!! ( I think it scared her with all the jerking movements)
Holly n her mom Tracy Loved the gingerbread play area!
I think Holly would have been happy to stay n  play in this area all day!
Finally it was time to get on the only ride I wanted to go on..."The Sky Lift".. ..we were in back of Casey, Gabs n her friend  Andrea!   The ride goes way up into the side of the mountain...if your afraid of heights..your out of luck!!!
                                                         The view was awesome!
After all that walking from ride to ride...it was time for a snack....the ice cream n root beer floats were to die for!!! The oldest gran n her friend went off on their own, like teenagers do, that's why we only have one picture of them!!! All n all it was a wonderful time...and the weather was perfect...sunny but not tooo hot!!!  Needless to say...I slept like a baby when we got home very late that night!  If you are ever in this neck of the woods...I highly recommend this Park.. .knoebels   its very nostalgic and there is no admission or parking fee...you pay as you go with each ride! You can take a picnic lunch inside and that makes it very affordable for a young family!
