I'm having a Birthday Party

Yep...this is what I am doing today.....Big 67...celebrating with family and friends.  No wonder I love the month of September.   Its a gorgeous day...sunny n cool temps in the 60's,  perfect weather for having our Crab and shrimp  feast and a nice fire in our chiminea to take the evening chill off!  Feeling so Blessed!!!

* Today is my 5 year Blogoversary and this is my 1088th  post!  Wow...I think I like it here in the Blogosphere!
I would never have met all you wonderful folks if it weren't for blogging.  I am so thankful for your visits and comments,  it means the world to me!  The end of this month will mark two years of this fun Friday's Fences meme also.   It has been a wonderful turnout...seems you all like fences as much as I do!!!!

Semi...Rural Living is Fine with Us

I just love the old rustic barns that we have in our neck of the woods.  We are happy to live in a rural area...so many gorgeous countryside scenes just around the corner from our home!!!

The Colors of Summer

As summer is rapidly winding down...it makes me feel a little sad.  While I am very excited to welcome Autumn with it's crisp cool air and awesome foliage of the trees, as their leaves turn brilliant colors.  I will miss all the  fresh produce of the summer.  There is nothing like the summer and it's abundant colorful vegetables and fruit!  This year has been a bumper corn crop  for S.Central Pa.  The most bountiful ever recorded.  Seems Mother Nature loved our neck of the woods this year and decided to give the farmers the perfect combination to nurture the crops!  Thank God for the many Blessings.
So we have a few more weeks to buy produce at our local farmers markets and roadside stands, soon the fresh corn, tomatoes, squash,  canteloupes and watermelons, will be replaced with Mums, pumpkins and Apples!
