 While taking a ride through the back country roads here in my neck of the woods...we ran across this monument.  We live just four miles over the Mason Dixon line that divides Pa. n Maryland. This area is rich in History and a beautiful countryside.

Here Piggy Piggy

Went to a Pig Roast at Jer's golf club on Saturday...The weather was awesome...temps in the 70's.

Jer's son n his family met us there. We haven't seen them in a while.  It was a  night to just eat,

talk n catch up on the past months!

What the camera see's

 Playing with my camera and shooting in Raw....boy...the camera see's better then my eye for sure...just look at the dust on my table.  The next time I will make sure I dust first before I shoot!!!

Our New Neighbors

About four years ago my Hubby put up a Blue Bird box in our yard.  With much anticipation, we watched n waited  for a pair of Blue Birds to take up residence.  Two years in a row, in early spring, we would get some visits from Blue Birds but the Sparrows would chase them away and take over. They would nest n raise their brood, one year the same pair had two broods.  While I enjoyed watching them in action and took lots of pictures of the fledglings, I was disappointed that it wasn't my favorite...the Eastern Blue Bird.  Last spring/summer, not one bird took up residence!  WELL...this is the magic year!!! WE now have a pair of Blue Birds nesting n hopefully will be seeing babies in about 14 days.  Needless to say...Jer and I are thrilled!!!

         First the Male appeared and would hang around the box for long periods of time. He did this for several days.

 The next thing you know the female started coming around....the male goes in the box to check it out!

          There he goes again...he is really checking things out...the female is patiently waiting!

                Papa bird gave the thumbs up and she goes in and starts her nest building.
              Sorry for the poor quality of these pics...I was zoomed all the way. Stay tuned for more when the
     kids arrive! I am going to borrow my daughters lens..it zooms out farther.
