Stuck

Last Wed. I was asked to pick up my youngest grand daughter Holly from preschool and keep her at my house until her Mom could pick her up. I do this quite often and she loves to come to our house (it could be the snacks) and play with the toys we have here for her. Anyway...while I was making her lunch she was sitting on the bar stool at the kitchen counter. All of a sudden she said...her foot was stuck in the chair. No problem I thought...just turn her foot n pull it out...NOT!!!!  Every time I tried to push her foot through she cried n said it hurt.  I got a saw and was trying to cut the slat but I couldn't get enough leverage, I even tried to hammer the darn thing out...but it would not budge.  I called her Dad (he works from home) and told him my dilemma.  He came right over. He twisted n turned Holly's foot but to  avail...our last attempt was to put Vaseline on her foot and hope it would slide through. Before we could get the Vaseline on she turned her body around and her foot slid right out!!! thank goodness.  Never a dull moment with kids!  I told my daughter to be sure n put this in her baby book for future reference. I got a few more gray hairs from this one!

           While we were waiting for help to arrive, Holly ate her butter n mustard sandwich! She 
           was very patient.

                                   Daddy to the rescue. Now I can finish my lunch!!!!

This Barn was found right around the corner from my house...don't ask me how times I drove right by it!  I like the lightning rods on top n the peeling paint. A texture from picmonkey was added too!

A Flower surprise

 This is the fence at our local playground...it's called "Kids Kingdom". When they built it back in the late 80's, you could make a donation n get your name on one of the slats.  I wasn't living in this area back then..but I would have loved to buy a slat.

Welcome to the world little foal!  This one was just hours old when I shot this. What a thrill to see. Although the grands thought it was a little gross because it was laying in poop!!!  A visit to the Hanover Shoe Farm is one the kids will always remember.

I am cheating a little here....The barn in the background was posted before. But its a different perspective this time...so here it is again...thought you all would enjoy the horse anyway! So happy to be back in Pa. where the barns n horses are in abundance! This shot was taken at the Hanover Shoe farm where they raise thoroughbred horses for harness racing. I did a post about it this time last year. They have their foals in the spring, so we took the grands  over today for them to see. Two of them were born on Easter Sunday.

EASTER BLESSINGS TO ALL

Back Home in Pa again

It is so good to be back in our Home in Pa.  I missed everything about it! Especially these two sweet little girls and sharing fun times with them. Dying eggs is a big part of the fun in getting ready for Easter.

Little Holly had to wait to open her B.day gift until we returned from Ga.   Her B.day was in March, we mailed her one gift to open and she had to wait to get the rest. She was so excited.
