Big Announcement

I am so excited to make this announcement....thanks to one of my blogging buddies
texwisgirl ! She posted some really cool photos with fences in them and said maybe it should be her thing!
Say no more!!!! Just messing around with a new editing program...picnik.com  its much more user friendly then photo shop.  I love it!  My Daughter upgraded me to premium for my B.day.So I can do alot more, I think I am going to have fun with this.

Just Jer n I posing with our good friend Mitz. Last Saturday was her wedding day! It was a fun time and I had a few firsts that day. First of all  it was my first time seeing a Bride wearing Lime Green. Second of all...instead of the traditional throwing rice/birdseed or blowing bubbles when the Bride n Groom  come out of the church....we all threw purple paper airplanes!!! Boy, It's refreshing to see the non traditional at my age!!! Keeps things very interesting!!!

It's my Blogoversary today!!

Yep that's right...I have been banging out posts  for 3 years now..658 to be exact!!! Wow...I can hardly believe it!!! Have I ever come a long way....from my very first post here to now. Starting this blog has been a wonderful experience for me.  It has awakened a passion that has been buried deep within  me. First of all, I love meeting new people n boy have I meant plenty in the blogosphere. There are so many wonderful folks out there that I feel like I know...but have never really meant them in person. This seems to be a common thread among us bloggers. I have drifted a little from writing a whole lot on my blog...that is due to my love of taken pictures. Now I participate in daily memes that gives me a chance to show off my efforts. Guess you could say the photo bug has bitten me.  I love to blog hop n see the gorgeous pictures that all you great bloggers post everyday. It really does inspire me to see some of the creativity that is posted everyday on different blogs. When I put up a post and get comments...it makes my day!  To think that you like what I have to say or you like my photos, means the world to me. I have learned so much in the way of technology and how to get around on my computer....how to post photos...how to take photos and now trying to learn photoshop!!!   I would have never gotten this far if I hadn't started my blog.  Guess your never to old to learn!  Hopefully the good Lord will give me the time to keep on learning new and exciting things. Now let me go buy that IPAD....just kidding...or maybe not...hmmmmm! :)

We Will Never Forget 9/11/01

Ten years ago today...we all remember where we were and what we were doing on that fateful morning. It was a beautiful day...warm n clear with a beautiful blue sky and  bright sunshine. In less then 1 1/2 hours... two planes crashed into the world trade center twin towers. Another plane crashed into the Pentagon in Washington DC and yet another one crashed in the fields of Shanksville Pa. Those of us old enough to remember hold the events of that day ingrained in our memories forever. However, there are new generations born and will continue to be born that won't have those memories. Therefore, Healing Fields were created to help us to heal from those memories and to help all new and future generations learn about that tragic day, so our country will never forget!
The Exchange club of Hanover Pa. has organized this most inspiring healing field for all to see and pay tribute to our fallen hero's and victims that died in this horrific act of terrorism to this great country! May God bless and give us all peace!

      Each flag has a dedication card with the persons name, age n where they died. It also tells you a little something about this person.

There were lots of volunteers who gave of their time to this very meaningful event

They started placing the flags in the rain at 12pm on Friday Sept 9, they had 3,0000, each one representing a lost person. This was acomplished in just two hours....thanks to all of the volunteers!
These photos really can't begin to show you how awesome this is and the inspiring feelings you get to just witness such a wonderful event.
